Für Jazzliebhaber und -liebhaberinnen, eine Arbeitswoche mit der Möglichkeit, mit professionellen Jazz-Instrumentalisten zu arbeiten. Dieser Kurs richtet sich an Personen, die einen Standard singen können und ihr Verständnis und ihre Kenntnis des Jazz vertiefen möchten. Jeder Tag beginnt mit stimmlichen Aufwärmübungen, Atemübungen, Körperbewusstsein, Tanz und spielerischen Harmonie- und Rhythmusübungen. Diese Arbeit wird Ihnen helfen, Ihr rhythmisches und melodisches Vokabular zu erweitern und die Anforderungen für die Zusammenarbeit mit Musikern zu verstehen.
Die Wahl des Repertoires sollte vor Beginn des Praktikums getroffen werden. (Wenn Sie Hilfe bei der Auswahl oder beim Finden der Tonart brauchen, können Sie sich direkt an Gwen Sampé wenden). Wir werden von dem Gitarristen Jacques Gardeur begleitet.

Das Kursmaterial wird allen Teilnehmern zugeschickt. Benötigte Materialien: leeres Heft, Bleistift, Radiergummi, Notenpapier, bequeme Kleidung.

Eine Jazzsängerin, für die die Kunst der Improvisation ein integraler und unverzichtbarer Bestandteil ihrer Klanglandschaft ist. Geboren in Houston, Texas, ist ihr Ansatz für Jazzgesang in der Vergangenheit verwurzelt, aber auch auch modern und originell ohne Umschweife. Eingebettet in die Musik von John Coltrane und Betty Carter unter anderem, bringt sie Überraschung und Kühnheit in ihre Auftritte. Ihre künstlerische Geschichte ist reich und vielfältig.
1991 spielte sie die Rolle des Gottes in “Noye’s Fludde” von Benjamin Britten. Es war das erste Mal, dass diese Rolle von einer Frau gespielt wurde. In 1995 schloss sie sich dem ersten schwarzen Opernensemble Ariya an, das in in England und spielte dort die Rolle der Spirit in der Oper “Dido and Aeneas” von Henry Purcell.

For jazz enthusiasts, a week’s work with the opportunity to work with professional jazz instrumentalists. This course is aimed at people who can sing a standard and want to deepen their understanding and knowledge of jazz. Each day will begin with vocal warm-ups, breathing work, body awareness around dance and playful exercises in harmony and rhythm. This work will help you develop your rhythmic and melodic vocabulary and understand the requirements for working with musicians. Study the grid of two standards – ballad and uptempo – and improvise on them.
The choice of repertoire must be made before the start of the course. (If you need help choosing or finding your key, you can contact Gwen Sampé directly). We will be accompanied by guitarist Jacques Gardeur.

Course material will be sent to all participants. Materials required: blank notebook, pencil, eraser, music paper, comfortable clothes.

Born in Houston,Texas, her approach to jazz singing is rooted in the past, yet modern and original. Bathed in the music ofJohn Coltrane and Betty Carter among others, she brings surprise and audacity to her performances. Her artistic history is rich and diverse. In 1991, she played the role of God in “Noye’s Fludde” by Benjamin Britten. It was the first time this role had been played by a woman. In 1995, she joined the first black opera company, Ariya, based in England the role of the Spirit in Dido and Aeneas by Benjamin Britten. “Dido and Aeneas by Henry Purcell.

Pour les amateurs et amateuses de jazz, une semaine de travail avec la possibilité de travailler avec des instrumentistes de jazz professionelle. Cette formation s’adresse aux personnes qui peuvent chanter un standard et veulent approfondir leur compréhansion et connaisance du jazz. Chaque jour commencera avec des echauffements vocale, un travail de respiration, et prise de conscience du corps autour de la danse et des exercises ludiques d’harmonie et rythme. Ce travail vous aidera à développer votre vocabulaire rythmique et mélodique et à comprendre les exigences pour travailler avec desmusicien.ne.s Étudier la grille de deux standards – ballade et uptempo – et improviser dessus.
